Sanda Head Coach Rob Williams said:

“For me personally there was a great team atmosphere and to have every Aussie Sanda team member finish in the top 16 in the world it was very rewarding, it was very exciting and shows just how far we have come as country in regards to Sanda.

The quality of the competition was second to none which is to be expected at a World event. All the Australian fighters should hold their heads high as they gave their best and competed with good spirit and honour I was very proud of their efforts.

Congratulation to all and well done. Be it Sanda or Taolu I believe we had a true combined Australian team with true National pride and it was a joy to be a part of it”.
